Why Drake missed the Grammy's
Sunday night while some of the music industries biggest stars (Jay z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, etc.) were attending the Grammy's. One of hip hop's most prominent figures was in his hometown of Toronto attending two days of rap battles at KOTD's Blackout 5. Drake made it clear in his verse on Big Sean's new record Blessings that he has no desire to attend the Grammy's when he said, "I could give two fucks where the Grammys go/I just gave out Grammys on my Instagram/Them OVO boys the business, man.” How can we not admire Drake for being so down to earth while being held to such a high status in the music industry. It's humble artists like this that gives young, up and comers hope that one day they can achieve the same level of success.
