The Game

J. Cole is the definition of a raw artist with skills on the microphone that cannot be match by just any artist. J. Cole uses his music to tell stories of his life & experiences that molded him into the man and musician that he is today. J. Coles first album Cole World: The Sideline Story was released on Sept. 27, 2011. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, Top R&B Albums and Top Rap Album Charts, selling more than 218,000 copies in it's first week. He recieved a nomination for best new artist at the 54th Grammy Awards, losing to Bon Iver. His second album Born Sinner also had a great impact on the industry debuting at number on the Billboard 200 and then moving forward to being number one. It was released June 14, 2013 and sold 297,000 copies in it's first week

The Game is one of the music industries most underrated heavy hitters, best known for being a hot west coast rapper and having strong affiliations to Dr. Dre. Who also signed Game to his label, Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. The Games first album, The Documentary went double platinum selling 5 million copies world wide. The album also debuted at No. 1 as well as his second album (Doctor's Advocate).

The Game has been nominated for 2 Grammy awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group. The Game is one of the main reasons that West Coast Rap has stayed strong in the 2000s. Game also has his own American Independent Record Label which he started with rapper, Stat Quo.
