On June 27th 2014, Fall Out Boy & Paramore with special guest New Politics brought the MONUMENTOUR to The Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden NJ. New Politics started off the night with their 8 song setlist to get the crowds blood flowing & the energy levels boosted for the headliners of the Monumentour, which they did just that. The first 3 songs I would say were the most interesting of their entire set, the band entered the stage in bright white flashes of light to break out into their song “Give Me Hope”, keeping the crowd moving going into “Berlin” with Mr. Boyd breakdancing throughout the song, to introduce the next song “Fall Into These Arms” Mr. Boyd said “Who is going to hold me in their arms & hold me up tonight Camden?!” where he then jumped off the stage & onto the barricade to get onto the crowd & literally then walked on the crowd. Mr Boyd then went back onto the stage after crowd surfing his way back up there to tell the crowd “In Life you only need good music & to follow your fucking dreams Camden we love you!” to introduce their song “Tonight You’re Perfect”. To end their set Mr. Boyd told the crowd to repeat after him by saying “Hey Hey Hey, Yeah, Yeah Yeah!” to enter into their song “Yeah Yeah Yeah” Which made the crowd go nuts! Before exiting the stage Mr. Boyd did his infamous backflip off the drum riser where the crowd roared & New Politics exited the stage. Overall the New Politics did just what they were supposed to do get the crowd rowdy for the headlining bands. Up next PARAMORE!
