Music Mayhem Magazine December 2014: ISSUE #10 (METRO STATION IS BACK) | Page 11

Shake-shake-shake it, because Metro Station is back & touring for the first time in 5 years, & made their way into the Philadelphia, PA’s District Nine on The Outsiders Tour which they headlined. A lot of Metro Station fans New & Old fans were there to support the bands return and they came back better then they ever were. With a setlist for every fan to love, mixing up songs old and new but not loosing their electro-pop sound. They played multiple songs off their newest release titled “Gold”, which is a new 5 song EP. While we haven’t heard much from the duo comprised of Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso collectively in about five years, Gold is great by Metro Station standards and serves as a promising step forward for the band. Now standing at a 2 piece band with a few fill ins performing live with them, they didn't miss one beat of any of their songs. They literally had the crowd Shaking It. Unfortunately they had a very short about 8-10 song setlist, it left the crowd wanting more and more. Metro Station didn't disappoint and I believe they were better then ever before. They put on an exceptional set with a very awesome lighting setup for the stage, along with a very great stage presence! Their entire set was full of high energy and constant movement throughout the stage. Trace Cyrus (guitar, vocals) made a quick speech to his fans about how good it was to be back on stage and to once again be performing in Philadelphia. They had the fans jumping so much you can feel the wooden floors beneath us all bouncing and shaking up the entire venue. They put on an incredible show for their loyal fans to see and blow the minds of many of their new fans! Get out and see Metro Station if you have the chance too!
