Music Activities for Adults
At Maxx Music we understand that life can be busy and
unpredictable. However, that doesn’t mean that you stop
having ambitions and dreams. With our music activities for
adults, we aim to provide accessible, affordable, high quality
music experiences for anyone who would like take part.
These activities are created to be fun, informative,
progressive and a great way to make new friends.
Instrumental activities
Noodling On - evening ukulele group
Thursday 6-7pm (during school term time)
Begin at the very beginning and develop your ukulele playing
skills in this friendly and supportive group. You will learn
how to tune your ukulele, strumming techniques and all the
chords you need to play well known (and some more
unusual) songs. Each session will be progressive and hands
on - learning all you need whilst playing songs.
You don't need to have played ukulele before or be able to
read music. We'll even provide the ukulele for you for the
first couple of lessons while you find your feet.
Cost: $15 per session ($12 Under 16yrs) or $60 for 5 weeks
Senior Ukulele group - daytime ukulele group
Thursday 1-2pm (during school term time) Starting 25 May
Are you over 55yrs and looking for a new challenge? Join
Arthur Ongley from Paramatta and Hills Ukulele Network
(PHUN) as he takes you on your first steps to playing the
ukulele. As with Noodling On, you will learn how to tune
your ukulele, strumming techniques and all the chords you
need to play well known (and some more unusual)
songs. Each session will be progressive and hands on
- learning chords, technique and theory by playing songs.
You don't need to have played ukulele before or be able to
read music. We'll even provide the ukulele for you for the
first couple of lessons while you find your feet.
Cost: $12 per session ($10 for NSW Seniors Card holders)
or $60 for 6 week term ($48 for NSW Seniors Card Holders)
