Dain ’ s Dutchmen has been performing polka style dancing music and entertaining crowds since around the year 2000 . A family of Moldans , which also frequently reaches into a network of extended family , as well as players who are not related when necessary , makes up the core members of the Dutchmen . A fourpiece band featuring a concertina , drums , tuba , and piano keyboard is what will be found playing many times , known as Dain ’ s Dutchmen , while concertina player , Dain Moldan , can also be found playing solo for many gigs , coined as “ Da Dutchman ”. Whether you will be entertained by Dain ’ s Dutchmen or Da Dutchman , you will have the pleasure of hearing polka , waltz , twostep , and circle schottish tempo music for listening and dancing pleasures .
P e r f o r m i n g throughout the midwestern states many weekends of the year , there ’ s a good chance to catch Dain ’ s Dutchmen - or - Da Dutchman and Friends - for tunes and dancing ! The band plays for public dances as well as other gatherings and events , entertaining polka music lovers and dancers with their “ New Ulm MN Style Polka Music .” You can find Dain ’ s Dutchmen in Ballrooms , on live radio broadcasts , at community events , annual towns celebrations , milestone recognition events ( anniversaries and birthdays ), The Televised Bandwagon Program ,

Big Joe ’ s Polka Show , and even the Mollie B Polka Party ! This group is working to promote and perform their polka style music throughout the region with live performances , and reach an even greater area with the televised recordings . You can also find the band on social media platforms , grabbing views counted into the many thousands ! Countless videos are also on YouTube where viewers from all over the world watch and listen to Dain and his band playing various polka tunes .
As the original Moldan members of the band expand their families , a ‘ new generation ’ is on its way for the Dutchmen . It ’ s

a strong liklihood you will be seeing more of Adrian , Isla , Kyzer , Drayden and the family ’ s newest addition , Adler , playing and dancing to the same polka music each of their parents promote and have grown to love . With the next generation ’ s love for music , the future is bright for Dain ’ s Dutchmen , and the hope is their music will be around for years to come .
Much like these new young players , Dain ’ s origins with a concertina came at a relatively young age . It was very normal for Dain ’ s extended family to be playing a polka at various events . There is quite an impressive list of maternal and paternal
