It has been a very early start to a hot summer . Let ’ s hope we get some much-needed rain soon , and a cool down .
The ballrooms have opened up and we can get out and do one of our favorite pastimes , which to many of us is going to an old-time dance .
We all would be just a bit happier if it wasn ’ t so hot and sticky . Let ’ s just be glad that we can go to dances now and enjoy them .
The MN Po . L . K . of A . hosted its long-awaited general meeting June 13 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe , MN .
The coronation followed the meeting . The new king and queen are Arnie and Shirley Alsleben .
We had a wonderful crowd in attendance that danced to the music of Dain ’ s Dutchmen from 1:30 to 5:30 p . m .

The MN Po . L . K . of A . Music Fest will take place Friday , Aug . 6 through Sunday , Aug . 8 , 2021 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe , MN . See full ad elsewhere in this issue .
There will also be a general meeting Saturday , Aug . 7 at 10:30 a . m . at the Pla-Mor , which is right before the second day of dancing starts .

Hello , dancers .
Here it is May , and I am excited to tell you that the ballrooms have opened up .
I know when you read this , we will already have had our coronation dance June 13 at Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe . We crowned our new king , Arnie Alsleben , and our new queen , Shirley Alsleben . We also had a general meeting before the dance . Dain ’ s Dutchmen provided the music .
We will have our Po . L . K . of A . Music Festival at Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe , MN . Entertainment includes : Friday , Aug . 6 – Dain ’ s Dutchmen ; Saturday , Aug . 7 – Malek ’ s Fisherman , and Harvey Becker ; and Sunday , Aug . 8 – Leon Olson and Gary Brueggen .

state opened up to no masks if you are vaccinated . My husband and I are excited that our river cruise is also a go . Hoping to find everyone in good health , and eager to get out and dance . I am sure most of you are . Looking forward to seeing everyone again .
