Dancers and members of the Polka Lovers Klub of America ( Minnesota chapter ) were thrilled to be dancing and visiting with each other at Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe , MN .
Dances begin at Pla-Mor in Glencoe , MN
With vaccines for the coronavirus available and restrictions being lifted , Pla-Mor Ballroom , 1904 Ninth Street East in Glencoe , MN , has begun hosting Sunday afternoon dances again .
The first dance took place June 13 , with Dain ’ s Dutchmen providing the entertainment . Kris & the Riverbend Dutchmen performed June 27 .
Dances will continue Sunday , July 11 with the Leon Olsen Show , and other entertainers will perform every other Sunday after that .
Due to the uncertainty of attendance , dances will take place every other Sunday to begin with , in hopes of increasing to every Sunday .
Owner Mervin Gifferson explained , “ It has been a rough road this past 14 months , but I ’ m looking forward to seeing all the happy , smiling faces again .”
