Former royalty passes away

Darrell Stier passed away peacefully May 4 , 2021 , at the Oak Terrace in Le Sueur , MN .
Darrell drove truck for many years , and also liked to cut trees and split wood . When it was dry , he sold it as firewood to many customers . They all wanted to buy firewood from Darrell , because he only sold hard firewood and was very particular about the wood . He always gave his customers a little extra . He never wanted to cheat anyone , and always threw a few extra pieces on the pile . Darrell also loved Case tractors .
He really enjoyed being king for the Minnesota chapter of the Polka Lovers Klub of America . It was his idea to get business cards made to hand out . He wanted everyone to have one or two , and encouraged

people to pass them on to others and promote polka dancing . We need to keep it going . He was always telling people to sign up and join Po . L . K . of A .
Darrell wanted to keep dancing until his reign was done , but COVID-19 and his health issues wouldn ’ t let that happen . He asked many times , “ When are we going to be able to dance again ?” My answer was always , “ I don ’ t know .”
He will be greatly missed by many . We both want to thank the Po . L . K . of A . and all our dancing friends for all your love and support during our years of being royalty . Even though he didn ’ t dance much the last few years , he really enjoyed seeing and visiting with everyone .
I hope everyone can keep dancing as much as possible and enjoy every day to the fullest . Stay helathy and be thankful for every day that you have with family and friends .
