Polka Lovers Klub of America
KCHK radio station
in New Prague, MN at
Park Ballroom in New
Prague, MN. We had a
great time there.
Nov. 24, we danced to
the music of the Harvey
Becker and the River-
side Dutchmen Band at
the Pla-Mor Ballroom,
Glencoe, MN.
Dec. 1, the dance at the
Pla-Mor was canceled,
due to the weather con-
ditions. We stayed home
and put up the Christmas
tree and decorations; en-
joying a day at home.
Hope to see you all
soon in 2020.
Stay healthy, and safe,
and dance when you
can.
Our chapter is com-
pleting its 20th year of
incorporation. We had
some celebration events
this past season as a
thank you for our mem-
bers.
A special, unexpected
delight came to our klub
in the form of a beautiful
plaque from our parent
organization, the Minne-
sota chapter, congratulat-
ing our klub on our 20th
anniversary. How won-
derful to be acknowl-
edged by the Minnesota
chapter. This handsome
plaque is on display at
our dances and potluck
dinner meetings.
At this writing, we’ve
already danced to Julie
Lee & Her White Rose
Band, and the Bob Do-
szak Band for our fi rst

Brothers Band.
Our annual two-day
Music Fest will take
place Saturday, March
7 and Sunday, March
8, 2020, from 1:30 to 8
p.m. each day.
We’ll dance to Matt
Hodek & The Dakota
Dutchmen, Leon Ol-
sen Band, and Zweifel
Brothers Band.
A food cart will be
on the premises, with a
good selection of food
and drinks.
It’s at a new venue this
year; Las Palmas Grand.
Tickets are $15 each
per person, per day, and
will be available in Janu-
ary.
To order tickets, call
our president, Darrell
Peper at 480-354-1434.
Come on down to
Mesa, AZ this winter.
There’s lots of things to
do – around the polka
dance times, of course.
And the best part: you
don’t have to shovel the
sunshine.
