Nov. 24, we danced to the music of the Harvey Becker and the River- side Dutchmen Band at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, MN. Dec. 1, the dance at the Pla-Mor was canceled, due to the weather con- ditions. We stayed home and put up the Christmas tree and decorations; en- joying a day at home. Hope to see you all soon in 2020. Stay healthy, and safe, and dance when you can. Our chapter is com- pleting its 20th year of incorporation. We had some celebration events this past season as a thank you for our mem- bers. A special, unexpected delight came to our klub in the form of a beautiful plaque from our parent organization, the Minne- sota chapter, congratulat- ing our klub on our 20th anniversary. How won- derful to be acknowl- edged by the Minnesota chapter. This handsome plaque is on display at our dances and potluck dinner meetings. At this writing, we’ve already danced to Julie Lee & Her White Rose Band, and the Bob Do- szak Band for our fi rst Arizona Chapter two dances of this sea- Bonnie Stark son. secretary We’ll also enjoy the Happy New Year to all music of Sam Pecorilla polka dancers, from the Arizona chapter of the Band, Barefoot Becky Polka Lovers Klub of & The Ivanhoe Dutch- men, Matt Hodek & The America. Dakota Dutchmen, Leon Olsen Band, and Zweifel Brothers Band. Our annual two-day Music Fest will take place Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2020, from 1:30 to 8 p.m. each day. We’ll dance to Matt Hodek & The Dakota Dutchmen, Leon Ol- sen Band, and Zweifel Brothers Band. A food cart will be on the premises, with a good selection of food and drinks. It’s at a new venue this year; Las Palmas Grand. Tickets are $15 each per person, per day, and will be available in Janu- ary. To order tickets, call our president, Darrell Peper at 480-354-1434. Come on down to Mesa, AZ this winter. There’s lots of things to do – around the polka dance times, of course. And the best part: you don’t have to shovel the sunshine.
