Out & About with Chuck Thiel
By Chuck Thiel
If you’re looking for something to do on non-dance
days in Minnesota and area states, I host primarily
one-day tours, with an occasional three-day tour.
All tours have available pickups in Cokato, Howard
Lake, Winsted, Lester Prairie, Plato, and Norwood
Young America.
Tours going into the metro area or east also offer
Waconia, Victoria, and Chanhassen pickups.
Following is very brief information for upcoming
tours. I’m constantly adding new adventures.
Ricky Skaggs – Thursday, Feb. 11
We’ll begin with an included buffet lunch at the Old
Country Buffet and then head for the St. Cloud Paramount Theatre for Ricky Skaggs.
Ricky Lee Skaggs (born July 18, 1954) is an American country and bluegrass singer, musician, producer,
and composer. He primarily plays mandolin; however,
he also plays fiddle, guitar, mandocaster, and banjo.
Ricky Skaggs launched his own country career in
1980, achieving 12 number-one hits, eight Country
Music Association awards, and eight Academy of
Country Music awards.
In 1982, he became a member of the Grand Ole
Opry, the youngest to ever be inducted at that time.
His hits include “Crying My Heart Out Over You,”
“I Don’t Care,” and “I Wouldn’t Change You If I
Could.”
