Chef Yancy Seals originally hails from Pomona, California. His love for cooking has turned into a unique culinary flair and he displays his cooking skills each month for friends and family on Youtube.
Chef Yancy, as he is affectionately called by family and friends, loves to cook and entertain. He is the king of his kitchen and his wife Aileen gleefully steps aside and surrenders full reign as he has claimed that section of their house as his domain.
He has been manning (pun intended) the kitchen for years and proclaims American foods as his favorite cuisine. One of his specialties is Grilled Barbecued Ribs and is usually served with a Shrimp, Peppers and Andouille Sausage Pasta.
For fun he developed a cooking team of family members, stressed the importance of well rounded meals, and each 4th of July via his Facebook page and Youtube he presents the Backyard Boogie Contest – a creative presentation of an amateur chef’s best skills on the grill. The winner is bestowed the virtual ‘Golden Rib Award’ as well as Bragging Rights and reigns for an entire year. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. His son is a Sous Chef at a trendy eatery near their Virginia home; and his daughter is a pastry chef. Also a cookbook is in the works with favorite recipes and family favorites that have been handed down for several generations.
