CAP. CO is a design-and-build specialist creating adventurous places to play and explore in museums and cultural destinations across the the UK, Europe, the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. With an in-house team spanning concept design, project management and construction, the company delivers highly crafted environments that balance imagination with long-term durability and sustainability.
Rather than applying a standardised approach, every scheme begins with a deep understanding of place- its people, the history and landscape of the site as well as local culture and ecology. From this, ideas are shaped using local materials, traditional skills and site-specific storytelling.
The result is a portfolio of work that is genuinely authentic, characterful and enduring. This commitment to originality and quality has been recognised internationally, with the award of two THEA Awards, and a reputation for creating experiences that are both globally relevant and locally grounded.
Crafting global adventures, locally.
Our work at the Thursford Collection in Norfolk, is an interpretation of a classic Victorian fairground that has been carefully integrated into one of the UK’ s most unique visitor destinations- museum and collection of working steam fairground rides, supported by a huge Christmas show. The Adventure Play Fair we created was inspired by the site’ s heritage and the stories of the family who operate it. The development adds depth to the overall offer and builds on its strong sense of place and identity.
