Among the past Sake Samurai award recipients are: Mr
Kenjiro Monji who is the former Ambassador and Permanent
Delegate of Japan to UNESCO, Mr. George Tanasijevich,
the CEO of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, the Kyoto
City mayor Daisaku Kadokawa who had enacted “Kampai
(toast) with sake resolution” for the first time in Japan, Ms.
Etsuko Nakamura, the pioneer of sake brewery tourism to
the foreign tourists, Mr. Markus Del Monego who won the
Sommelier World Champion in Germany, and Ms. Momose
Ayuchi who owns “Sake Bar Ginn in Hong Kong. They are
