ADOLPH: I graduated in 2004 and moved
to Toronto in 2007. I came to visit friends in
Toronto and loved the city. I was betrayed by
friends whom I trusted and got into finan-
cial trouble a few months after I arrived. I
struggled for stability and eventually I was
offered a job as a sub-contractor for Rogers.
MM: YOU MENTIONED THAT 2017 WAS A DEVAS-
TATING YEAR FOR YOU? YOU RECOUNTED THAT
YOUR BROTHER DIED. HOW DID YOU DEAL WITH
THE SITUATION MENTALLY AND PLEASE CONVEY
HOW IT AFFECTED YOUR CAREER AND TRAINING?
ADOLPH: My brother who had always been
in my corner died in 2017. He believed in
me and looked after me my whole life as if
he was responsible for me. When I started
bodybuilding he said I’d found my path. He
motivated me and told me, “I can see you
winning Mr. Olympia.” On January 9, 2017 I
received a phone call from his girlfriend who
told me that he passed away. He had focused
his last years on building an education centre
for kids in Liberia where he was living. He
enrolled 165 kids his first year and he pro-
vided teaching and meals. That call was the
worst moment in my life. The circumstances
surrounding his death hurt the most. People
he trusted poisoned his food. Jealousy and
envy killed many successful people who
tried to move back home to give back to their
country. His death took away all my motiva-
tion and energy for a short time. I grieved
but somehow I found myself back at the gym
training harder and longer then ever. I felt
motivated beyond belief. I cried throughout
my workouts on many days. My brother’s
death had motivated me to get my pro card
and to hopefully one day become one of the
best bodybuilders in the world. Liberia to build the school to help others. I
am fully dedicated to support my brother’s
dream. Hopefully before the next school year
we will be in a position to offer a program
extending from nursery to grade 12.
MM: WHAT IS NEXT ON YOUR JOURNEY? WHAT
SPECIFIC GOALS DO YOU STILL WANT TO ACCOM-
PLISH BOTH IN BODYBUILDING AND LIFE? Men’s Bodybuilding
"PROFESSIONALLY,
I WANT TO, ONE DAY
WIN THE MR. OLYMPIA"
On a more personal level I want my brand
3D MUSCLE to become world famous. I want
to build several gyms with my brands name
on them. Ultimately I want to give back to my
community, by building gyms where others
can go and like me, discover that working out
can be therapeutic and motivational.

Personally, next school year I will be
changing the name of the school my brother
built in Liberia to “Augustus N. Kwaidah In-
ternational Academy” to honour his memory.
I am currently working on a project to turn
the school into a full high school as well. I
will carry on my brothers mission of teaching
and feeding kids. Even though Augustus had
a PHD in Education he selflessly returned to
