IT'S NOT HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET KNOCKED DOWN
THAT COUNTS, IT'S HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET BACK UP.
-GEORGE A. CUSTER
MANY OF THE MOST CELEBRATED AND FAMOUS PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEIR OTHERWISE SUCCESSFUL
CAREERS TAINTED BY ADDICTION OR MARRED BY LEGAL TROUBLES. Whether it's the child star
whose career hit the back burner, only to be revived as bigger and better, or the celeb who
overcame drugs or alcohol to find a renewed level of success, there’s a long list
of celebrities who have faced their troubles, and come out the other side –
careers and reputation intact. But it’s not just Hollywood that loves a great
comeback story.
Our cover feature this issue has the spotlight on Antoine Vaillant. We
call him the Comeback Kid, but not because Vaillant is a deadringer for
Bubba Newman. Not at all. Vaillant earned that title after facing one
devastating turn after another, and continued to fall down and recover,
several times before the steadfastness and tenacity paid off. His story is
one of perseverance and staying power that is both shocking and inspir-
ing—but most of all, it’s inconceivable that one could endure so much
pain and still see his way through to the other side.
In a competitive environment, perseverance is an invaluable asset.
This we know. And so do the five amazing women we had the pleasure of
working with for our newest instalment of Hotness Infusion. We worked
with Boudoir photographer Melissa Kelly to curate a sexy set of photos
that highlight the hard work and dedication they have put into their fitness
journey, and we got a little more insight into the challenges and obstacles
that they too have had to overcome, all while building their confidence, courage
and character. You’ll be glad to meet them!
And with no shortage of grit and grind in the fitness scene, we introduce you
to Team T-Rex. Two of their athletes show how they have learned to accept chal-
lenges and face them with passion, hard work and a commitment to a lifestyle
that only breeds success.
