believe it’s all down to squats
which actually, isn’t necessarily
true. Everyone is different so
what works for one person might
not work for another due to
physiology.
In fact, those of you who are quad
dominant or perhaps have mobility
issues and can’t quite reach parallel in
your squat, are going to find squats to
be an ineffective exercise for building
your glutes.
Before we discuss different exercises
let’s take a look at the gluteal muscle
group in more detail. Your glutes are
made up of 3 muscles; your gluteus
maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus
minimus. These 3 muscles enable your
body to perform certain movements
correctly such as hip adduction and
abduction (moving your legs inwards
and outwards) bending at the hips and
also moving your legs backwards.
The glutes are actually the strongest
muscle in the body yet through years
of us leading increasingly sedentary
lifestyles they have in turn, become
