In conclusion, to be an effective
‘championship ready’ sprinter you
need to be “fit, strong and capable
of reproducing maximum power
consistantly, again and again and
again. It doesn’t matter how tired you
are, your body has still got to produce
as much power as it can”. She makes
it sound so easy. “It’s all well and
good being able to run one fast 100m,
but when it comes to the Olympic
Games you need to run 6-8 fast races
in as little as six days so that changes
everything”.
Within the confines of the gym
Dina is rather partial to a Back Squat
because she is so powerful, but even
though the Squat is her favourite
exercise she is rarely allowed to
perform them very often because
“my coach likes to test me and likes
to make me do more of the things that
I am not so good at so I can adapt and
