“In this case, better to say United did one of their best signings
in history (will be proven soon) Adnan Januzaj from Anderlecht.”
In 2012, United made another two big signings, RVP and Kagawa along with a potential
signing Alex Buttner. The Japanese can’t live up to the bill but the Dutchman proving his worth
in every single match. I say, the 2012/13 league title belongs to him. Later in 2013, United fans
had to hear one of the biggest along with pathetical news of their life –Sir Alex calls off his time
at United. Then the new manager (David Moyes) came in and United fans expected a massive
change. New Boss, new CEO, new style so new players. Normal. But for one more window, United
remain quiet. A potential signing (Wilfried Zaha) was made but became ineffective so far and a
big Belgian Marouane Fellaini was bought in a hefty £27.50 million price. But United fans seeing
the same. The player can’t perform up to the expectation. What I am trying to say United are
unlucky on the signings in recent times. Fans can say we don’t make big big signings like City,
Chelsea, Madrid but we did some signings those were called GOOD signings during the time.
Later the players themselves failed to perform and now our fans saying United do not sign big
players. Nani, Hargreaves, Anderosn, Berbatov, Valencia, Lindegaard, Owen, Chicharito, Young,
De Gea, Van Persie, Kagawa, Zaha, Fellaini all came with a classy signing tag but most of them
could not show their class at United. In spite of having won titles season after season it goes
without saying, United’s playing quality falling down. Fans are asking some big quality names but
my belief is United would not have struggled had the existing players played up to their potential.
United have depth in squad but the players are underperforming. It’s the players to be blamed,
not the club. Players should be criticized rather than anything. Here’s my view the club are
Unlucky, We are Unlucky.
