do myself. My philosophy is that every
guest should think and feel that they are
the first guest to stay in that room, so to
achieve this, every room must be deep
cleaned daily and to have no smell except
of fresh air, clean and freshly ironed and
laundered bedding
QUESTION 3 - DO YOU CONSIDER THE
ENVIRONMENT AND IF SO HOW IS THIS
IMPLEMENTED BY YOUR HOUSEKEEPING
MANGEMENT?
H We are passionate about our
environment from the garden,
woodlands, wildlife and the hotel. I
believe you look after nature and put the
heart back in to a building, the building
will look after you. Here at Grimscote
Manor we only use two products to clean
the whole hotel, the only chemical is toilet
cleaner and the natural product for all
other cleaning is made from Aloe Vera. It
makes every bit of furniture smell of fresh
air. We also do all our in house laundry
using plain soap, hot water, steam iron,
hard work, dedication and pride.
QUESTION 4 - YOU RECENTLY WON THE TV
SERIES FOUR IN A BED PLEASE TELL US
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE AND WHAT YOU
THINK SET YOU APART FROM YOUR FELLOW
COMPETITORS?
H Yes we did recently win the TV series 4
in a bed we both treated this as another
journey of adventure. It was very nerve
racking and hard to fit in around a busy
hotel, and of course the moment we
signed on the dotted line, work typically
came flooding in for just those 2 weeks
we have committed to. We set off on our
travels, nervous, not knowing what to
expect, we need not have worried we had
a ball, never laughed so much for years.
There were four very good characters
that we hit it off with straight away and
of course plus two fellow competitors!!
That were slightly (tongue in cheek) very
competitive. We learnt one main thing that
we are perfectionists, up until that point
we both thought that we just worked hard
and were dedicated to succeed. It just
shows that you are never too old to learn
about yourself.
We think what sets us apart is our
passion to win against all odds and to
be successful, even though all odds are
against us. Nothing is too much trouble
and we never believe in saying “that will
do” we only believe in doing the best that
we can do and nothing less.
