It has been in existence for over 100 years. Mr. Ali and his family purchased the hotel in 2007, and today the hotel continues with its rolling refurbishment plans to ensure the comfort for our guests. Unfortunately the hotel was flooded badly three times in December 2015, but has finally re-opened. It was a year ago that the hotel in Glenridding was first struck by flood waters which destroyed much of the ground floor. Pictures of the bar area being inundated with water from Glenridding Beck were seen around the world. The first guests to stay at the hotel since then have arrived, followed by a small ceremony to mark the reopening of the bar, now renamed Beckside Bar.
