W e all know how great a good night’ s sleep feels and how essential it is for wellness, but it’ s often easier said that done. This divine Temple Spa Ritual performed before-bed will help ease tension, restore equilibrium and prepare your body for sleep. The ultimate way to treat skin, body and soul. STEP 1: CREATE THE PERFECT AMBIANCE Draw yourself a warm bath and drizzle in two capfuls of DRIFT AWAY relaxing bathing & massage oil. Crafter with our signature relaxation essential oil blend, it transforms water into a beautifully milky, soft bath, so the moisturising properties of the oils can really penetrate the skin. You can also use DRIFT AWAY to give yourself a pre-bed aromatherapy massage.
Whilst the bath is filling, light a SIESTA FOREVER relaxing aromatic candle and place in a safe place in the bathroom. Turn on THE REPOSE SUITE – the perfect selection of music we created for relaxing and getting you in the sleep mood. Grab your favourite fluffy towel, robe and slipper. Spritz QUIETUDE calming mist lightly on your towel, robe and in the air around you.
STEP 2: GO ON, DRIFT AWAY By now your bath should be ready, so sink in and relax. Breathe in the vapours with long, deep, slow breaths. Close your eyes, go over the day in your mind and
|
bring to remembrance at least 3 things you are thankful for – they can be big things or little things.
STEP 3: TREAT YOURSELF TO A MASK Apply your favourite facial mask – the steam from the bath will help open up your pores and all the goodness will penetrate even deeper. QUENCH rejuvenating face mask is an ultra-rich, anti-ageing mask that is like a relaxing drink for the skin – great for a skin boost. After about 20-30 minutes you can remove the mask with fresh water and a TAKE IT OFF muslin cleansing cloth. Hop out of the bath and pat yourself dry.
STEP 4: WRAP YOUR SKIN IN A DUVET Take a generous scoop of DUVET comforting body cream and massage gently into your body, starting at the toes and working up each leg, torso, back( get a friend to
|
help you!) then from fingers to arms. This luxurious, advanced body cream will envelop the body with hydrating and nurturing ingredients, leaving it smooth, toned and deliciously spa’ d.
STEP 5: TIME TO REPOSE When you are ready to sleep, take a half a teaspoon size of REPOSE aromatherapy resting cream and rub it into your palms. Take your hands to your face and breath deeply before massaging your face and neck. This wonderful skin comforter sinks in immediately, leaving your complexion ultra soothed and settled. The ingredients in the formula have a natural ability to help aid a restful sleep. You can also apply to your pulse points to bring a sense of peace and calm any time of day.
STEP 6: PILLOW TREAT Spritz your pillow lightly with QUIETUDE to induce a feeling of peace and calm. The wonderful soothing aromas will help ease you into a restful sleep.
STEP 7: AAAHHH! Finally, massage your legs and feet with AAAHHH! soothing balm for aching feet & limbs. This stops that‘ restless-leg’ feeling. Sweet dreams.

SLEEP TIPS H Sleep. If you could buy it in a bottle, you’ d buy a year’ s supply, right? There are many reasons why that wonderful, blissful state of unconsciousness might be eluding you: from stress, to anxiety, to diet, to worrying about the in-laws coming to stay! Whilst we can’ t get your to-do list done, we can give you a few tips and suggest a few new habits.
1. Lighten up- Keep evening meals light and don’ t eat for 2 hours after you go to bed. 2. Watch the stimulants- Limit caffeine, sugar, alcohol and other stimulants for the few hours before bed. You’ ll notice an immediate difference. 3. A cuppa – replace your usual bedtime snack with a cup of chamomile tea. 4. Clock watch – try to go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time each day. 5. Create a bedtime ritual- Tell your body it’ s sleep time by doing the same things every night
|
before you go to bed – try our Temple Spa Relaxation Ritual. 6. Pop on some relaxing music- it might sound strange, but those children’ s classical lullabies work a trick every time! 7. Write it down- Take 10 minutes to write down( on paper, not in your head) what you need to do tomorrow. Get it out of your head and you’ ll sleep much better. 8. Power down- An hour before bed turn off all electrical devices( yes that includes your smart phone!). Try leaving your phone outside the bedroom to charge at night! The stimulating and physiological effect of the screen doesn’ t help your ability to sleep. It’ s better to read a novel if you must have some entertainment. A stimulated brain = no sleep. 9. Ideal ambiance- Total darkness, quietness and a cool room temperature is the perfect sleeping environment. Sleeping too hot can lead to restlessness. Also, make sure your room is well ventilated. 10. Sleep on your left side – If you |
are a side sleeper, it’ s best to sleep on your left, as the right side can give you reflux( due to the tilt of your stomach). 11. And breathe- Take 3 deep breaths in and let each breath out sloooowly – imagine you are blowing up a balloon inside( yes, let your tummy and chest expand as you breath in, and let it subside as you breath out). Starting with your toes, concentrate on relaxing each part of your body. Move up your legs, hips, tummy, back, fingers, arms, shoulders, neck and right up to the top of your head. Imagine each body part getting heavier and heavier … and feel the tension ebb away. Ensure your tongue is relaxed and not pushed to the roof of your mouth. Soften your face and let your shoulders go all‘ creamy’. Now smile – a big happy smile and … well, you might already be asleep. 12. Count your blessings – before you drift off, count your blessings. Literally! Recount the day’ s activities and consciously find something good to think about each one. You could even start a gratitude list – the results to you wellbeing will be amazing. |
