everything is clean and ready for guests, before checking with my laundry team to ensure all the ordered linen has arrived and we have enough for the day. At 8:30am we have quick briefing with the team where we discuses today business, what needs to be done, guest requests, celebrations, VIPs etc. Then at 10am I attend the morning meeting with our General Manager and the respective members of the Management Team During the day I am constantly inspecting the public areas and rooms to make sure standards are maintained and consistent throughout the entire hotel. I also walk through the back of house areas to make sure everything is clean and organised. When I’m back in my office, I ensure the vacant rooms have been cleaned and inspected according to specific time frames. I then start with my administrative duties: contacting suppliers, contractors, placing orders and devising rotas etc. Q9: DO YOU HAVE AN ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TO UPHOLD AND, IF SO, WHAT MEASURES DO YOU TAKE? H As Hotel Gotham opened its doors to the public less than two years ago, the technology used in and around hotel is very energy efficient. It is also an environmental friendly business, so we have various policies in place to ensure we remain as green as possible.
