He is the Turkish actor "Murat Yildirim" best known for his performance in the serial ASI, he had not realized that his fame had reached the height that it has in Egypt. He felt overwhelmed with gratitude by the attention he was receiving, and by all the requests to have photos taken with him.

In an interview done with MBC in Cairo, when asked if he had an feelings for his co-star in the serial ASI Tuba Buyukustun, he responded with the love that I fell for my wife prevents my heart beating for anyone else.

. The interview continued as Murat Yildirim explained that he was overwhelmed by the attention he got when he landed in Cairo to attend the 34th Cairo Film Festival. Knowing that Turkish is not widely spoken in Egypt he was quite surprised that the serial had so many fans and was so popular. But culturally speaking he is aware of the fact that the two cultures are very similar, where family is the center of every ones lives, and this is what he attributed to the fact that the serial had gained so much popularity. He was also quite amused as female fans would come up and ask to have their pictures taken and would whisper "Seni Seviyorum" I love you to him in Turkish.

Continuing with the comments that he felt right at home and not like a stranger in a foreign country. A lot of questions were asked about his relationship with Tuba Buyukustun, where he responded that they were like brother and sister while working together, and nothing more that he was in love with his wife Burcin and was unable to even comprehend the idea of looking at another woman. Some the comments from the young ladies asking the questions would respond I would love to have a brother like you anytime.

He concluded with the comments that he would have love to stay at the entire festival, but that he had to return to Istanbul due to the taping of his current serial Ask ve Ceza, which is also has a huge following in Egypt as well.

He mentioned that he would love to see a production done jointly between Egypt and Turkey as it would probably have a large following in both countries.

He also mentioned that he would one day love to come to Egypt with Burcin and be able to tour the country as well.
