Synopsis:

"Araf" tells the story of a young woman Eda & her lover Cenk who are happily in love. But when Eda discovers she is pregnant unusually things start to happen. There is also something in Eda’s past which is a secret. As the secret is revealed her past comes back to haunt her. Eda, who is forced to have an abortion after she finds out she is pregnant as a result of this illicit relationship. The component of horror in the movie begins when the aborted fetus comes back to find its mother.

“Araf” (Purgatory): Inspired by Japanese horror movies, the film exploits the consequences of abortion when a woman decides not to have her baby from her married lover. Years later, the ghost of the baby comes to haunt her.
