Use your imagination to tell
a story as your stretch and
awaken the body.
FROG POSE
Directions: Stand up tall with
your arms down by your
sides. Bring your arms out in
front as you open your palms
and straighten your arms,
as you step the feet apart.
Exhale as you squat down to the ground, keeping
your back straight and the top of your head pointed
towards the sky. How many hops can your frog
hop? When ready, inhale to come back to standing.
AIRPLANE POSE
Directions: Stand up tall with your arms down by
your sides. Bring your arms out to the side, creating
your wings. Keeping a straight back, tilt forward
from the hips as you lift your left leg slightly off the
ground. Point your toes and imagine a straight line
from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Help yourself balance by finding a spot to look at
straight ahead. Where will your airplane fly off to?
When ready, come back to standing and repeat on
the other side.
STARFISH POSE
Directions: Stand up tall with your arms down by
your sides. Take a deep breath in and jump the feet
apart and bring your arms straight out to the sides.
Reach out the tips of your fingers while you press
down into the ground with your feet and lift your
head towards the sky. What kind of underwater
friends do you see in the ocean? When ready, come
back to standing.

Tub!

Water Confidence starting in the bathtub:
Remember, swimming is an ESSENTIAL LIFE SKILL!
It helps to teach water safety at a young age so that
when they are older, it becomes second nature!
Flutter Kicks: Huge skill used in swimming and one of the
first skills we teach in our Swim School! Have swimmers
practice making waves with their kicks and kicking
floating objects to the other side of the tub.
Blowing Bubbles: A key factor in the swimming sequence
of our Swim School! Lets practice blowing the air from
our lungs into the water! Key factor: learning the
difference between swallowing water and blowing
bubbles. Fun activity: Water Races! Who can blow bubbles
and send their rubber ducky on an adventure?
What did the Fishy have for Dinner? First, let’s blow
bubbles and ask the Fishy what they had for dinner.
Then, we turn our ear to the side, in the water, and listen
to their silly answers!
Underwater Objects: Practicing grabbing objects from the
bottom of the tub or kiddie pool helps children with depth
perception and water confidence.
Underwater Mirror: Practice looking underwater at
yourself in the mirror blowing bubbles and making silly
faces!
Back Floats: A fun and safe way to help your child gain
confidence with back floats! Start by positioning yourself
behind your child and placing from in the back-float
position while their head rests on your shoulder. Then
gently supporting them under their shoulders.
Use interactive toys and household items that
swimmers can interact with in the tub.
MAKE IT FUN!
