ROOSEVELT PRESIDENTS CABINET

Several crises arrived to Roosevelt Cabinet. On the last minutes of the session, an announcement from The Wall Street Journal reached them indicating that Mexico, in collaboration with Germany, had plans of invading the American territory. At this critical point, it was discussed within the cabinet the way to overcome the economy of war crisis, to create new jobs and invigorate the local economy again. What would it happen if the American troops fail in war? Undoubtedly, it will bestow another great disappointment to the country. The proposal of President Roosevelt, moving from a passive role to a war economic system, was submitted for voting and accepted with 3 against 2 votes. Now, America has officially entered the war against Mexico and Germany. But, what happened next? Within the committee, the points debated to solve this situation and with the only purpose to make this nation a prosperous one were: civil rights, the banking system, the prevention of a recession, private and public sectors investing in military projects, and the reactivation of the economy by the “Bathtub Method”. The resolutions conceived by the committee turned around these relevant topics and a great impact was made as a remarkable point for the US history.
