Tips to alleviate stress in business
1. Plan ahead and time block. The most important task must be the first thing you do, even if it's the longest/ most daunting. This is usually the task that produces the most income for your business. When the most important job is done, you'll feel a weight lifted.
2. Eliminate self - imposed stress. It's not worth getting stressed about things that are out of your control. If you can't control a situation, control how you react to the situation. Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change. Something gone wrong? Don't panic! Consider the learning opportunity.
3. When feeling anxious, you can reduce your anxiety with acupressure. Positioning your thumb on the side of your middle finger and applying pressure immediately helps regulate your blood pressure.
4. Think positively! 60,000 - 80,000 thoughts go through your mind each day. Set the tone for your day by meditating ,creating affirmations and thinking about what you're grateful for in the morning. Be careful about what you tell yourself because that becomes your reality.
Work place stress is a massive issue society. I teach two days a week alongside running my own business. I've experienced stress as an employee and business owner. The Guardian 2018 stated, 'Epidemic of stress blamed for 3,750 teachers on long term leave!'
What if you're feeling stressed and you run your own business? Often, if you don't work, you don't earn, so long term leave
isn't an option. Add onto that the pressures of being a mum and it can be overwhelming.

6. Get in alignment. It's important to feel good in order to show up as your best self in business. Plan time for you. For me recently that's been getting outdoors with my family and enrolling in a meditation class with Patricia Lawless and Karen Hope. I'd also recommend checking out Voyage Self care on Instagram for some fabulous ideas for 'ME TIME.' Until next time, be kind to yourself.
