2. Steps to Recover Files from Windows 8 Computer
Step 1. When starting the program, you will be automatically guided to Wizard Recovery
Mode. You just need to click “Next” to start the recovery.
Note: You can also switch to “Standard Mode” by click “Standard Mode” on the bottom. The
operation in standard mode is a little bit different but also it is very simple.
Step 2. In this step, you need to decide what kind of file you want to recover in the interface.
If you want to recover document files only, you can select “Office Document”. If you want to
recover many file types, select “All File Types” and then click “Next” to continue.
Step 3. After checking file types, here you are going to select partition where you want to
recover lost files from. You can also select “Desktop”, “Recycle Bin” and “My Document”.
Click “Next” to continue.
Note: You can also select the connected external devices to recover files too.
Step 4. The program will now begin to scan the destination where you lost your files. You
just need to click “Start” to search for your lost files.
Note: You can also click “Enable Deep Scan” to get a longer but deeper scan. If you want to
recover files that are lost long time ago, you can also try “Raw Recovery”.
Step 5. After the scan, all found files will be listed in categories as well as in their original
paths. You can preview office documents or photos as well as check other files by their
original names. And then you just need to check files you want to recover and click
“Recover” to save them to your local folders.
Note: Please do not save the recovered file back to its original folder again. Plus, if you are a
Mac user, you can also get the Mac version of Amigabit Data Recovery and recover files
from your Mac too.
