importantly, make sure you have VLC player on your system. Now use the following steps to
set the SopCast on VLC.
1. The first thing you will have to do is to get a SopCast account. You can always have a free
account but remember that you will have to log in every time to launch it. There are both
free and paid services. Once the program opens to main screen, click the option button and
go to choose external player. You will have to browse through your system for executable
file of VLC which is usually under Utilities. Once you have selected VLC, accept the changes.

2. Exit SopCast and open it again. Log in again and then open a channel to watch from the
list with address “sop://”address.
3. Now, launch the VLC player and make sure both programs are open. Important thing is
make sure you note the address of the SopCast address bar. You can always use the bar to
watch the new channel by merely entering the address.
