UNTITLED POEM

By Sandra Kennedy

South Australia, Australia

if tomorrow was the last day,

there was nothing else to say

would I say goodbye or would I

wait another day?

Would I wait with baited breath

for the words I want to hear? Or would I

say enough is enough and walk away?

If tomorrow never happens and yesterday is gone,

where do I stand when life has moved on?

Today is happening, I hear you say, but today is never here

so where did I go wrong?
