MEMORIES

Editor's note: Having spent the summer working with children and teens aged 7-17, I came across many talented young people. Alexa requested to submit to MLJ, and I am a big supporter of encouraging creativity in young children and adults, so please enjoy the debut of a young creative writer.
Looking back on the memories,
Nine long years, but they’ve been too short.
And now it’s almost over.
I can’t believe it’s almost over.
Just give me one more photograph,
One more leather bracelet,
One more show rehearsal,
And one more final bow.
Just give me one more SING,
One more banquet night,
One more concert in the Pavilion,
And one more lazy day.
Just give me one more staff show,
One more canteen night with friends,
One more splash in the pool,
And one more camp sing-a-long.
Just give me one more Troupe Night,
One more silkscreen shirt,
One more search for cell service,
And one more creative writing class.
Just give me one more video to make,
One more Super Clean Up,
One more dance to learn,
And one more circus act.
