JUST ONE MORE

By Quinn Hulings

Pensylvania, USA

Just one more fix they say,

Just a few more minutes to finish this hour of the day,

Just one more drink and one more bit of clay,

Just one more moment to play.

Just one more they say,

Just one more week, one more month so I’ll stay,

Just one more life to live as I may,

Just one more dawn so the dark goes away.

Just one more - just one more,

Keep walking on from door to door.

Just one more time and never again,

Just one more time to complete all my sin,

Just one more gluttonous phrase I most like to repeat,

A broken record, old mind with no ground under feet.
