OBITUARY
Tony Hill (1945 – 2013)
Tony and his family learned to sail and enjoy the
pleasures of sailing at Albert Sailing Club.
He was a very active fellow renowned as a raconteur, humourist, lover of fine food and also an obsessive fly fisherman.
He is survived by his partner Tricia Hartshorn, three
children - Zoe, Bas and Justin - and 2 grandchildren.

In December 2013, Tony Hill, a popular club member
from the early 1990's to the mid 2000's died following a brief illness. Around 20 current and past members of the club, attended Tony's funeral in Keilor in
late December.
Tony and his children Zoe, Sebastian and Justin
sailed Mirrors at Albert Sailing Club and with our
then active Mirror group in events at other clubs in
Victoria and interstate. Tony was an active committee
member as the Club's Assistant Secretary for a number of years.

In his professional career Tony ran a successful general dentistry practice in Werribee.
He moved on to senior and teaching positions in forensic dentistry at the Victorian Institute of Forensic
and University of Melbourne.
Tony spent many years working with the Victoria Police long-term missing persons unit attempting to
identify the remains of unidentified people who
would otherwise be buried in anonymous graves.
He played a major role in the disaster victim identification teams deployed after the 2002 Bali bombings,
the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami in Thailand, and the
Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria in 2009.
