Spotlight
Not only is the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension
recognized by the U.S. News & World Report, it is also
host to the Annual Dialysis Conference, the largest
conference focused entirely on dialysis and provides
a comprehensive annual review of major advances
in the field of dialysis. Drs. Karl Nolph (below), Zbylut
Twardowski, Ramesh Khanna, Madhukar Misra, Kunal
Chaudhary, Preethi Yerram, Kurtis Tarwater, and
Joshua Botdorf along with Leonor Ponferrada, RN, all
play an important role in organizing this conference.
This conference convenes an international group
of practitioners and researchers to discuss current
developments in the field of dialysis. This 3½ day,
multidisciplinary conference encompasses all aspects
of dialysis with special symposiums offered on: The
Fundamentals of Dialysis in Children; A Comprehensive
Course in Hemodialysis; Home Hemodialysis
Fundamentals; Peritoneal Dialysis in North America; Dialysis Technician Program and the 25th Annual Symposium on Pediatric Dialysis.
Over the past 34 years this meeting has attracted nearly 63,500 attendees from approximately 60 countries. There have been
nearly 6,900 invited speakers, 4,750 poster presentations, and nearly 2,800 slide forum presentations made. For the past 29 years,
