Rengstorff House Thirty Years of Beauty : Transformed !
Our Spring 2021 Event
Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Rengstorff House ’ s restoration ! Built in 1867 , the Rengstorff House is the oldest structure still standing in Mountain View . The ornate Italianate Victorian house , now located in Shoreline Park , was fully restored in 1991 thanks to the hard work of dedicated local residents , City staff , and civic leaders who fought the odds to save it from demolition .
Our panel discussion will feature guest speakers from the group that helped save the Rengstorff House , the “ Friends of “ R ” House ,” and staff from the City of Mountain View – Shoreline Division who will share images and recount stories of the house ’ s fascinating history .
