A MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANISER

Amandelbult is a mining area in the Waterberg District Municipality in the Limpopo province of South Africa. This is where mining company Anglo American has major facilities and produces platinum. The nearest towns are Northam and Thabazimbi.

The Amandelbult mine is Anglo Platinum’ s largest contributor and the second-largest platinum-mine in the world. Producing in the region of 600 000 t / m of ore.

The area forms part of the Bushveld Igneous Complex( BIC), a large region that contains a range of mineral commodities including chromium, vanadium, titaniferous magnetite and platinum group metals( PGM). The complex stretches over four provinces in South Africa.

For those who are not familiar with MTE, this travelling exhibitions company has been running for more than two decades, providing a unique platform for suppliers of top-ofthe-line mining and industrial equipment to showcase their goods to a community hungry for new technology, services and information – right on its doorstep.

This is MTE’ s eighth exhibition in the area. Tumela mine, Dishaba mine and the Amandelbult Concentrator are some of the visitors that will attend the show.
