A MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANISER
Welcome to Modikwa!
On 22 February 2018, it will be Modikwa’s turn to experience
some Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE) magic — with
an exhibition at the HRD Offices' Field from 12:00 to 16:00.
Modikwa is located northwest of Burgersfort in Limpopo
province. Modikwa platinum mine is one of the largest
platinum mines in South Africa, with estimated reserves
topping 200 million tonnes (Mt) of ore grading 2g/t platinum,
1.87g/t palladium and minor grades of gold, rhodium,
ruthenium and iridium.
If you are involved in the platinum mining industry, be sure
to make your way to this exhibition. Visitors will be spoilt
for choice at this expo as exhibitors present information on
the latest products, services and technology related to the
platinum industry. There will also be demos illustrating how
some of the products work – an opportunity for visitors to
get first-hand knowledge on products or services that could
potentially be implemented to improve their mines.
Exhibitors and visitors have it all to gain at this exhibition
which brings together buyers and suppliers in the platinum
mining industry. But even though this exhibition is mainly
suitable for the platinum industry, exhibitors and visitors
from the mining industry in general are encouraged to get
involved with the exhibition – as they too stand to benefit.
For those who are not familiar with MTE, this travelling
exhibition company has been running for over two decades,
providing a unique platform for suppliers of top-of-the-line
mining and industrial equipment to showcase their goods
to a community hungry for new technology, services and
information – right on its doorstep.
We trust the expo will be a rewarding experience – whether
you are visiting or exhibiting. However, we are always open to
suggestions as to how we can make future expos even more
accommodating for you and your business.
