Student Council Hosted a Mock Vehicle Accident to show students the importance of alert and non-impaired driving. The mock accident utilized Mark Twain students who were involved in a head-on crash involving drunk driving. A fatality, injuries and an arrest all occurred within moments. A special thank you to all of the first responders, medical personnel, police officers, highway patrol, helicopter personnel, and volunteers who worked collaboratively to make this scenario possible. The mock accident was followed up with an assembly provided by 9-1-1. Student Council coordinated the day in hopes of making a difference, encouraging students to "think before they get behind the wheel" and to have a safe summer and beyond.
