Kaseya Security Labs Cuts the Noise with MSP-Focused Threat Intel and Free Tools

The newly launched Kaseya Security Labs delivers timely, relevant cybersecurity alerts, actionable guidance, and remediation tools— free to all MSPs.
Mike Puglia, GM of Kaseya Security Products

MSPs need to stay on top of threat intelligence. Full stop.

But with overwhelming data from threat feeds, vulnerabilities, and security alerts— often about tools MSPs and their customers don’ t even use— it’ s easy to miss what really matters. On the flip side, missing one critical patch or exploit could be catastrophic.
Kaseya Security Labs aims to cut through the noise, delivering curated, actionable intelligence that MSPs can actually use. And it’ s all free— even for non-Kaseya partners.
Here’ s what you need to know: 1. An Elite Team Working for You
Kaseya Labs is powered by veteran cybersecurity experts, including SOC analysts, threat hunters, researchers, and malware engineers.
“ We put together a team whose sole focus is to take the realworld data that we see every day, especially from our SOC and all the threat feeds we subscribe to, and publish the information that applies to MSPs,” says Mike Puglia, GM of Kaseya Security Products.
While Kaseya has long used this intelligence internally to inform its own security posture and product development,“ now we’ ve built our own separate team to be able to publish and share that information,” Puglia says. The goal is“ education and awareness” for the greater MSP community.
2. Relevant, Timely Threat Alerts
Rather than flooding inboxes with irrelevant CVEs( common vulnerabilities and exposures), Kaseya Labs filters and curates updates and alerts that impact MSPs directly.
MSPs in general don’ t need to filter through alerts about vulnerabilities in high-end enterprise software their customers don’ t use, but they do need to know when an emergency patch for something in their tool stack has been issued, Puglia says.
If malware or ransomware is involved, the Labs team offers signs to watch for and steps to check if you’ ve been compromised.
3. Security Guidance in Plain Language
Kaseya Labs makes security intelligence digestible, translating complex threats into clear, plain-English alerts.
Puglia says they not only want to alert MSPs to exploits and vulnerabilities but they also want to provide context around the information along with actionable advice.“ And, importantly,” Puglia notes,“ without having to have a Ph. D. in cybersecurity to be able to mitigate that risk.”
Simply put, MSPs“ need to know what the threat is, and be able to describe it to their customers and understand their own risk,” he explains.
4. Free Remediation Tools for Faster Response
Kaseya Labs goes a step further— giving MSPs tools and scripts to act fast.
“ If I can give you a PowerShell script that you can run on anything to go and detect whether the version of software you’ re running [ needs to be patched ], that’ s incredibly helpful to you,” says Puglia.
Even if an MSP can’ t fix a SaaS or line-of-business software vulnerability directly, they can alert their clients.“ MSPs will be able to walk into customers’ offices or call them up and say,‘ Hey, I know you’ re using this software, and I want to make you aware of this third-party issue,’” Puglia says.
Constant Vigilance with Kaseya Labs
There’ s no bigger threat to your customers’ businesses today than a cyberattack, Puglia says.“ Nothing else can damage their business more.”
