Code Platoon is a Chicago based non-profit that helps veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce by providing technical training and career placement. Students can participate in-person at our downtown Chicago classroom or remotely from anywhere in the world!

We teach software design principles, modern software languages, and best practices. For 14 weeks the students are immersed in learning the full web development stack, including Python (or Ruby), Django (or Rails), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Classes are taught by local industry leaders and mentors are provided to each student to ensure optimal success. Upon graduation, the majority of our students are placed in paid internships, frequently leading to full-time employment.

Code Platoon teaches veterans and military spouses marketable skills that leverage core competencies, transforming them into software developers through an immersive, handsĀ-on, educational process and paid internship program. Learn more about our program or apply today at codeplatoon.org
