After all the get-togethers, visiting families and friends, past the excitement of opening gifts and eating delicious foods and sometimes not too tasty foods, all of us settle down and start planning out the new year with commitments and goals.
Occasionally, we look back and think, “is this year going to be the same as years in the past?” Believe it or not; it is not going to be the same, even when you try to keep it the same it often morphs and changes on its own, so why not focus your efforts a bit and mold the year into what you hope it could be.
We get to start fresh throughout each day, month, year and even decade. In order to take advantage of this fresh start, we have to start changing and to do that we must reflect on where and who we have been. This reflection and change can allow us to create a positive outlook across all aspects of our lives, family, friends, and career paths.
But, how do I start?
Look Inward.
Before you can truly understand who you are and what you are capable of you must be able to look at yourself under a microscope. This isn’t a bad thing, in fact, it is quite the opposite. It allows you to see yourself, to truly understand the good and bad aspects of what you can and cannot do. And, most importantly, it allows you to improve yourself and your career.
