Q. I’m not getting callbacks in interviews, what could I be doing wrong?

A. If you are getting calls to go to an interview or initial screening interviews, but not getting the call to continue the interview process, you should focus on improving your first impression.

It is often assumed that first impressions with employers are all about how you look or what you are wearing. In reality, it is about the combination of if you look and sound like “the part” or role they are hiring. Basically, make sure you have a decent interview outfit and have a plan to answer the first few questions that the employer has for you. Typically, the first few questions let an employer get an idea of how you would fit into the company culture and team… and how you would perform in the role they are interviewing you for.
