Congratulations, Edwin!
After working with CASY for 4 months, Edwin was hired for a federal job as a Unit Administrative Technician.
Hiring Challenge: Searching for jobs while trying to adjust to civilian life was very stressful. I spent 15 years in the military travelling the world and doing various tasks. When it was time for me to separate, I had a hard time trying to find a job that I could make a stable living at while supporting my family.
Assistance Received: CASY worked very hard with me to make sure that I got the best job possible. They helped with my resume and the job search, while also helping me to learn how to conduct an interview. They let me know that I was not alone, and that there are people out there trying to help.
Results: As a result of CASY’s help, I was able to send out many applications and was able to land many interviews. After a couple of months, I already had multiple great job offers! And now, I’m working for the government.
Value of Experience: Many Veterans are completely lost once they get out of the military; some of them don’t know what to do and end up being homeless. I’m very appreciative of CASY because they were there for me and made sure I found a great job. I thank every single one of them because they really made a difference in my life.
