Learn about MSEP and SECO, our National Partners

The first step is to call Military OneSource at 800-342-9647 and ask to speak with one of our certified career counselors. Our career counselors can provide information, not only about the scholarship, but about new resources such as Learning Counts. LearningCounts for the Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, you may know it as ‘SECO,’ helps military spouses earn undergraduate college credit for knowledge and expertise gained from volunteer and community service, work experience, training programs and independent study. This great program is offered at no charge to military spouses. Why not call and see if this is something that can help you to attain your educational and career goals?

An educational resource that we want military spouses to know about is the My Career Advancement Account scholarship. It is a $4,000 scholarship offered by the Department of Defense to military spouses married to active duty service members in the enlisted pay grades E1-E5, warrant officer pay grades W1-W2 and officer pay grades O1-O2. If you know a military spouse who may not be aware of the financial assistance offered through this scholarship, I urge you to share this information.

Education obtained through the My Career Advancement Account Scholarship, or any number of resources, can assist military spouses in reaching their career goals.
