Congratulations to June who was hired by the Department of the Navy!

June was a volunteer and independent Contractor with MSCCN for four months.

I didn’t know how I was going to get back into the workplace after living overseas and being a stay-at-home mom for the past few years. I couldn’t start over and take an entry-level position. I had to make enough to pay for before/after school care for my son and still be able to bring some money home. I also couldn’t accept a position that required working overtime because I had to be able to pick up my son from after school care before close of business.

CASY-MSCCN offered me a position to work for them. I started out as a volunteer and was hired on as an independent contractor shortly after. I learned so much in the short time that I worked with CASY-MSCCN through the training courses and working with applicants. That experience gave me important skills to include on my resume.

The skills and knowledge I obtained working with CASY-MSCCN gave me the confidence and skill to create a resume and pursue opportunities that landed me a federal job.
