How to Find Volunteer Opportunities?

Visit the community services and outreach office on your local installation. They can help match you to volunteer opportunities that meet your goals.

Visit local organizations and their websites to learn about the process and requirements for becoming a volunteer with them. Tour the facility, ask questions, and determine whether it’s the right fit for you.

Jobs, Volunteer Opportunities, and Camps

Summer Camps

Why Summer Camp? Many summer camps target military kids and teach them skills—like leadership skills, introduce them to a new subject—like glacial sciences, or connect them with other military kids—like networking opportunities!

How to Find Summer Camps? Visit your MWR office to see what’s available in your local area. If you have a specific interest, some internet research should help you find a camp that meets your interests. Some camps provide discounts (or free tuition) to military kids. Below are some camps geared towards military kids or that provide assistance to military families.

I know it’s only May, but school will be out and summer will be here before you know it. Make summer a time for growth, new experiences, and opportunities for military kids!

Don’t let the summer pass you by while you sit and binge watch reruns online! Get out there, and get involved. You might just earn some cash at the same time!
