March is Women’s History Month, a time to reflect, to remember, and to be inspired by the strong and mighty women who built (and continue to build) businesses that employ many, while serving as a spring-board for others to accomplish the same.

This month we salute those women, who, under extreme duress and against all odds, executed their visions and changed the course of history.

We honor the women who raised their families while working paid and unpaid jobs, who charged forward with drive and integrity, though they received neither fame nor attention.

They did their work for many reasons. Some needed the money, and knew their work would be the difference between life and death. Some worked because everyone worked; there was no other way to live. And some did the work because they knew they would be good at it, they knew they were made for it.

What should Women’s History Month truly signify? Absolutely every woman’s success, in my opinion, though that success may never be measured by fame or an individual award.

I stay away from award shows, award ceremonies, award dinners, award luncheons,
