If you are a military spouse, there’s a good chance that at some point in your life, you’ve felt alone—like you were the ONLY one who has EVER gone through what you were going through. We often feel this isolation as it relates to our career goals.
But the truth is—we aren’t alone!
And, while we face unique challenges as military spouses, we’ve had success on our own terms.
Regularly, we’ll be sharing spouses’ stories with you in our How Did I Get Here? Feature to celebrate our successes and learn from each other.
Whether a retired spouse, a new spouse, a Guard, Reserve, AD spouse—we’re all in this together. Based on conversations with other spouses, we’ve found that sharing stories, ideas, and success helps us to connect with and support others who have had similar struggles and create community.
We hope to alleviate the feeling of isolation (and sometimes despair) we sometimes feel by highlighting the various career paths and career journeys of all military spouses.
Maybe a highlight will provide the career spark or idea to help you feel confident in where you are, change course, or recognize a new career success!
