NBC Honors women warriors

Founded in February 2012, the Work for Warriors program has combated the problem of National Guard unemployment rates in California. Funded through State and Federal support, Work for Warriors provides job placement assistance to currently serving National Guard and Reserve members, Post-911 Veterans, Spouses, and Gold Star Families. Work for Warriors works to directly place applicants into full-time employment. To learn more about their process, visit http://www.workforwarriors.org/.

Founded in 2014, The MilSpo Project's mission is to “provide practical, achievable, entrepreneurial advice to military spouses throughout the United States, by connecting them to leaders in their community, and enriching and empowering them through live-leadership events so they can grow beyond their circumstances.” Check out The Milspo Project at http://www.themilspoproject.com/ or visit them on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/themilspoproject to learn more.

NBC’s Odyssey tells the story of Sergeant Odelle Ballard, a fictional representation of one of the 200,000 women who serve in America’s Armed Forces. In conjunction with the broadcast of this new show, NBC will honor 100 women warriors at screenings of the premiere of Odyssey throughout the country on March 25, 2015.
